Historic Jessops Church Inc.

With origins dating back to 1809, Historic Jessops Church is one of Maryland’s finest architectural landmarks. Today we operate as a public charity (IRS designated 501 (c) (3) charity) with the mission of preserving Historic Jessops Church Inc. for future generations. Although it was originally an operating Methodist church, there has not been an active congregation here since the 1950’s. Today a Board of Trustees manages our cemetery and historic sanctuary. Christ is still proclaimed here with a special community led Christmas Eve Service each year. Additionally we host annual concerts and hymn signs throughout the year.
