Dr. Lee M Schmidt, MD - Orthopaedic Surgery at GBMC

Dr. Lee Schmidt helped to create the joint replacement center at GBMC and has been its director since it opened in 2004. He has practiced at GBMC since completing his joint replacement fellowship in 1990. Treating both arthritic knees and hips, he has surgical expertise ranging from arthroscopic surgery to total joint reconstruction. Areas of special interest include partial and total knee replacement, hip replacement surgery and minimally invasive techniques. He is active in multiple professional societies including the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
