Baltimore's St. Benedict Catholic Church was formed in 1893 by Cardinal James Gibbons. Benedictine monks have led it ever since. Fr. Paschal Morlino O.S.B. has been pastor since 1984. The church is a Romanesque medievalist design, completed in 1933. Weekend masses are Saturdays 4:00 p.m. and Sundays 10:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., the latest in the metro area, with liturgies rich in incense, relics, and other ornamentation.
