P. Justin Tortolani, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon fellowship-trained in spine surgery. Dr. Tortolani is the Chief of Spine Surgery at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, and also sees patients in Timonium. As a spine specialist, his vast experience includes treating herniated discs, spinal stenosis, adult and adolescent scoliosis and spondylolisthesis (unstable vertebra that slips out of alignment). He is considered an expert in the field of cervical disc replacement surgery. Dr. Tortolani's special interests include spine research and treating adults and children with spinal deformities like scoliosis and kyphosis.
